User Permissions allow administrators to give selected users access to specific admin functions without giving them full administrator access.
This helps organisations assign the right level of access to the right people, so users can manage only the areas they are responsible for.
Permissions can be used to give access to sub-areas such as:
- Account settings
- Site configuration
- Automation
- Programmes
- User management
- Points
- Communications
- Reports
Users with assigned permissions will be able to access the relevant admin functions from the Settings cog icon.
Where to find user permissions
Go to:
Admin Settings > Users > Permissions
How to assign permissions
- Select the Settings cog icon.
- Go to Users > Permissions.
- Search for the user by name or email address.
- Select the checkbox next to the relevant user.
- To update multiple users at once, select more than one user from the list.
- On the right-hand side, review the available permission areas.
- Use the toggles to switch specific permissions on or off.
- You can also use Grant all or Revoke all within a permission section to quickly update access.
- Once you have made your changes, select Save.
- A success message will confirm that the permissions have been applied.
Permission areas
Permissions are grouped by admin area, making it easier to control access by function.
Depending on your programme setup, permission areas may include:
- Account settings
Account and billing access. - Site configuration
Homepage banner, login screen and branding. - Automation
Birthdays and anniversaries. - Programmes
Programmes, Challenges, recognition import, bulk payout and campaign images. - User management
User management, tags and import history. - Points
Corporate points and budgets. - Communications
Announcements, polls, quizzes, surveys and Programme News. - Reports
Dashboard, points, recognition and downloadable reports.
Important notes
- Only authorised administrators can assign or update permissions.
- Permissions can be assigned to one user or multiple users at the same time.
- Granting a permission gives the user access to that specific admin function only.
- Revoking a permission removes access to that function.
