Activate rewards card 

Activate your rewards card - a physical card that can be used at any South African Mastercard accredited store.

When you receive your card, sign it on the back, in ink, where indicated. 

To reduce the risk of fraudulent activity on the card, the card is sent to you in an inactive state and you are required to activate the card prior to use. 

To activate your awardscard®, simply follow the steps below. You must be logged in to your program on the bountiXP platform. 

1. Open the navigation menu   and select ‘Your account’. 
2. The click the 'Wallet' tab at the top right of the page.
3. OR click the 'Your balance' block on the newsfeed to access your wallet.
4. You will be presented with two activation options,’ Virtual card’ and ‘Rewards card’. Click ‘Activate card’ in the ‘Rewards card’ window.  
5. Read and accept the T&Cs, click ‘Confirm’. 
6. Enter your name and surname in the fields provided. 
7. Enter your ID number and contact number, click ‘Confirm’. [NOTE: Your full Name, Surname, Identity Number and Mobile numbers are required in accordance with Standard Bank’s Know Your Customer requirements, and all of Standard Bank’s obligations imposed on an accountable institution in terms of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act 38 of 2001 as well as obligations imposed on Standard Bank in terms of The Protection of Constitutional Democracy Against Terrorist and Related Activities Act 34 of 2004.]
8. Enter the 16-digit number on the front of the card and the 8-digit number on the back into the required fields. 
9. Click 'Confirm’ to activate the card. 
10. That’s it, you’re ready to shop! 

To view card daily limits and current balance, click the three dots in the reward card window and select ‘Card limit’.

Daily transaction limit: R10 000

Monthly transaction limit: R25 000

Lock or cancel your rewards card 

1. Open the navigation menu  and select ‘Your account’. 
2. Click the three dots in the reward card window. 
3. Select ‘Lock’ to lock your card. 
4. Select ‘Cancel’ and then ‘Yes, continue’ to cancel the card.
