Manage program news

Program news articles (or pages) provide both general and specific information about the program.  

Program news articles appear under ‘Program news’ in the user’s profile. Published news articles are viewed from here and do not appear in the user’s newsfeed. 

Every user with receiving permission will be notified that a new program news article has been published. 

Every program you create on the bountiXP platform should contain these common and fundamental elements, which must be set up and communicated via program news articles, to your users at the start of the program.    

 They are: 

• Welcome to the program 
• Program rules 
• Program FAQs 
• How it works 

 If there has been an update to your program or if there is a specific issue you wish to address, use ‘Program news’ to disseminate information. 

  Only administrators may add additional program news articles or pages.  

Add a new program news article 

1. Click on the ‘Settings’ icon.  
2. Locate the ‘Program news’ tab and click it. 
3. All program news articles will appear here. Click ‘Add new page’ to open the new program news article dialog. 
4. Provide a clear and descriptive title for your program news article. 
5. Click the checkbox to set receiving permissions. This determines who will be notified and have access to the new program news article. 
6. To reach specific users, use the contact book that allows you to select teams, individuals or filter by tags. Use the WYSIWYG editor to create your program page. Existing material may be copy/pasted into the editor but may require formatting to appear correctly. 
7. Decide whether you wish to have comments enabled by checking the appropriate box. 
8. Use the ‘Preview’ button to see how your program news article will appear on the platform.  
9. Once you are happy with the layout and presentation, click ‘Publish’. 

Previewing, editing and deleting a program news article 

1. Under ‘Program management’ in the ‘Program news’ tab, all program news articles, drafts and published, are listed. 
2. To preview, edit or delete a program news article, click on the three dots at the top of the program news article card . 
3. ‘Preview’ will show you what the article looks like in its current form. ‘Edit’ will open the WYSIWYG editor and allow you to make changes. Once you are happy with your changes, click the ‘Publish’ button, or 
4. You can delete the entire program news article by clicking on ‘Delete’.
